My Rating System
While riding the ski lift up to the bunny slope in 2021, my first year skiing, I spent a lot of time alone with my thoughts. Each ski run took just a few minutes so I was riding the lift over and over again. I enjoyed the time to stare into space, free from distraction.
My mind wandered to food, as it always does. I thought of how I am always ranking things like restaurants, tv shows, movies, and tourist destinations. As a loquacious gal, I use many words to describe my experience. What if I used a universal rating system for everything and shared that rating system with friends? With this system, I could easily characterize my viewpoint on an experience! Of course, some people might just use numbers, but what fun are numbers when you can use descriptive words?
